I have a sad turn of events to report in regards to our very beautifully designed and decorated Memmo Garden rocket stove. I am sorry to have to tell you that despite Benjamin's best attempts to save it this week, the stove has succumbed to excessive cracking and had to be taken down and reconstructed. Benjamin just finished the rebuild today, with help from Mike, Dan and Alfred. Benjamin’s thoughts on the cracking are that we had too many people applying cobb and as a result it didn’t get adequately packed. So, so sad.
The good news is cobb is easy to reuse. Just add water and try again. Version 2.0 might not look as pretty as our first attempt, but I will keep you posted on how this new version works. Benjamin says he won’t rest until he gets it right. I believe he means it too.
